La feuille d’or is a unique home decor boutique and art gallery in historical Corfu Town located a few steps away from the Asian Art Museum.
You will love the elegant French antique furniture, beautiful French designed accessories (lamps, vases, mirrors, candle holders...), and discover owner Sophie Mallard’s imaginative eco-friendly recycled cardboard creations.
All the items have been selected with care to enhance the beauty of your home.
In addition to the shop, La feuille d’or exhibits the works of various artists in their Art Gallery, presenting a different artist each month.
Workshops with Sophie Mallard or guest artists are also offered at La feuille d'or.
Sophie Mallard was born in 1956 in France. Coming from an artistic family, she became an artist and a world traveler at a young age. After studying Chinese in university she lived and worked for many years in Asia which has deeply influenced her works. She then started a family and ran her own translation company in France. At the same time she studied sculpture, painting, and making eco-friendly cardboard furniture. With her children grown, her love of travel led her to Corfu. Here she has decided to devote herself full time to the arts with her shop and art gallery, La feuille d’or. She has combined all her talents to offer quality antique furniture, home decor accessories, and her own creations in her new shop in Corfu Town.
Opening September 18
La feuille d’or Art Gallery presents the Collages of artist Brigitte Martin. Opening night reception at 80:30 - 22:30.
Art Workshops
In the warm atmosphere of La feuille d'or in Corfu Town, La feuille d’or offers 5-day workshops to inspire artist's creativity and expand technical skills.
The workshops are given by guests artists who teach various techniques, including painted furniture, murals, icons, fabrication of artistic paper with vegetal material, natural tints and vegetal dyes for textile, photography, or by Sophie who teaches how to make furniture out of recycled cardboard.
